The Yom Hiloula is the anniversary of the passing of the rabbinic scholar or teacher “Saint Rabbi Haim Pinto“, he was known throughout the country and beyond for his great Torah knowledge as well as for being the leader of Essaouira, It’s one of the most famous hills in North Africa.

This religious celebration takes place every 26th of September – the twelfth month of the Hebrew calendar – Jews from all over the world visit Essaouira to pray and place requests for blessings on the grave of the rabbi.
